Project Status Updates – May 2023

We are in the final stages of preparing the draft Shepparton South East Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) for public consultation.  

Since our last update in March 2023, we have: 

• Finalised the PSP amendment documentation in preparation for exhibition. 
• Sought and received endorsement from the VPA Board to proceed to public consultation.  

We continue to work closely with the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) to resolve road and traffic issues e.g. the final design of the Channel Road and Poplar Avenue intersection with Doyles Road ahead of public consultation.   

Public consultation timing

The VPA continues to brief across Government on our work program, including our planning for Shepparton South East. This process takes time, and we are working hard to minimise any impacts on the timing of this project.  

We continue to work towards release of the draft amendment package for exhibition by mid-year. 

We appreciate your patience while we work with our Government partners to confirm timeframes and next steps for the Shepparton South East PSP. We will provide another update when timing for release of the draft amendment for public consultation is confirmed.  

In the coming months we will be focused on finalising our documentation and briefing across Government to confirm timing of public consultation.
