Project Status Updates
Project Status Updates – April 2024
Thank you to everyone who participated in our consultation on the Shepparton South East Precinct Structure Plan and Development Contributions Plan. Consultation on these plans has now closed. The VPA is now reviewing the submissions we received.
Where to from now?
We will attempt to resolve as many of the matters raised in submissions as possible. During this process, we may need to visit sites in the precinct or meet with submitters to discuss matters raised.
For any matters raised in submissions that we cannot resolve, we may refer these matters to the Victorian Planning Authority Projects Standing Advisory Committee (SAC).
Upcoming SAC Hearings
The SAC is an independent committee appointed by the Minister for Planning to advise the Minister and the VPA on referred matters, including unresolved submissions made during public consultation.
Should unresolved matters be referred to the SAC, Planning Panels Victoria will contact affected submitters about next steps, process, and timings, including how submitters can participate in the committee process.
SAC hearings are an opportunity for submitters to be heard by the committee. They may also be attended by expert witnesses (technical advisors), legal representatives, members of government departments, and any interested members of the community.
We will provide more information about these public hearings as they become available, including the dates and how you can tune in online.
