Project Status Updates
Project Status Update – May 2025
Since our last update in March, we have progressed the planning for the Merrimu Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) by continuing to work with stakeholders and Moorabool Shire Council.
In addition, we have:
- Commenced the preparation of:
- Cultural Values Assessment with Wurundjeri
- Native Vegetation Precinct Plan (NVPP)
- Continued the refinement and updates to:
- Integrated Transport Assessment
- Community Infrastructure Needs Assessment
- Biodiversity Assessment
- Economic Assessment
- Landscape and Visual Character Assessment
- Land Capability Assessment
- Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment
- Planning Scheme Amendment for State Agency and Council consultation
- Continued to investigate:
- Drainage options with Melbourne Water to inform their preparation of the Development Service Scheme (DSS).
- Alterations required to the Bacchus Marsh Irrigation District within the PSP area with relevant authorities.
- Continued to meet with landowners to discuss project matters affecting their properties.
In the coming months, we will be focused on finalising technical reports in preparation for Council and State Agency Validation.
