Project Status Update – July 2025

We have recommenced planning for the Parwan Employment Precinct Structure Plan. Prior to the project being paused in 2023, a substantial body of work had been commissioned. We are rescoping the project to determine the status of technical work and to confirm the process and timeframes in order to deliver the project. 

We have appointed consultants to update the biodiversity report to include a habitat assessment of the Victorian Grassland Earless Dragon (VGED).The VGED is Australia’s most imperilled reptile that was thought to be extinct until its rediscovery in January 2023. The VGED is protected as a Matter of National Environmental Significance (MNES) under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) and is a critically endangered species under the Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988.
