The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

A note from the Board Chair

I am very pleased to inform our stakeholders that the VPA Board has offered Stuart Moseley a new five-year contract commencing on 1 July 2021.

The CEO has performed at a very high standard in delivering the VPA work program supported by talented and dedicated staff. Stuart leads the VPA with distinction and is a clear thought leader in the industry. He is the right person to continue to lead the VPA through the next stage of its journey as it implements the Victorian Planning Authority Business Plan 2021/22 and Victorian Planning Authority Strategic Plan 2021-2024.

The VPA will continue to focus our planning on delivering zoned land for houses and jobs to market at speed, timely provision of, and funding towards, essential infrastructure, and well-designed, affordable options for jobs and housing.

I would like to thank all our stakeholders who have worked collaboratively with the CEO and his team, especially over this most difficult period, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to deliver plans that get built for Victoria and assist in our economic recovery.
