The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Out and About in the Community

We would like to thank everyone who attended our two Greater Broadmeadows drop-in sessions, held on April 20 and May 4. Community members voiced a range of interesting viewpoints about the future of the area, including ideas about transport, housing and the Broadmeadows Town Hall redevelopment. We thank you for your feedback, which will be used to inform a Framework Plan for the area.

Special thanks to our venue host, the Hume Global Learning Centre, and the City of Hume staff who assisted residents and local business people with their enquiries. We have also visited Roxburgh College and had a wonderful afternoon hearing from Year 10 geography students about their ideas for Greater Broadmeadows.
