The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – October 2022

The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has recommenced the planning for the East of Aberline Precinct Structure Plan (PSP).

On 7 September 2019, the Minister for Planning made the Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) responsible for the preparation of the East of Aberline PSP and Development Contributions Plan (DCP).

While some work was undertaken by Warrnambool City Council (Council) prior to VPA involvement, the project was paused in 2020 while government resources were redirected to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery.

The VPA is excited to announced that we can now recommence the project in collaboration with Council.

In the coming months, we will host in-person and online information sessions for landowners who want to understand more about the precinct structure planning process, and will work with Council and state agencies to re-commence our planning.
