The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – October 2022

The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been progressing the planning for Croskell by refining our draft place-based plan using the feedback we received at our co-design workshop in July. We are now planning for a series of targeted stakeholder workshops and briefings focusing on issues such as drainage, planning controls and the high-voltage transmission easement.

The VPA will kick off engagement with nearby residents and businesses in October, by sending an information card to nearby homes and businesses to inform the surrounding community of the PSP’s preparation. The VPA and Casey City Council will be hosting a series of drop-in information sessions to answer any questions the local community might have about the commencement of planning for this new precinct and what opportunities there will be to get involved. We will post more details on these drop-in sessions on our website closer to the date.

In the coming months we will be focused on completing the background technical reports and finalising a draft Precinct Structure Plan to take to State Government agencies for validation, which at this stage is anticipated to be in early 2023.
