Project Status Updates
Project Status Update – February 2026
We have progressed the planning for the Merrifield North PSP by commencing technical studies, preparing Third Party Funding Agreements, while actively engaging with precinct stakeholders.
Since our last update in November 2025, we have:
- Completed the Final Vision & Purpose Preliminary Report October 2025. This has been shared with all stakeholders and will be uploaded to the VPA Merrifield North project website soon.
- Prepared Third Party Funding Agreements and liaised with relevant precinct landowners on these Agreements.
- Progressing technical studies.
- Facilitated another round of project governance group meetings (e.g., Project Steering Group, Advisory Group and Landowner Group).
- Prepared thematic statements on key project considerations (e.g., cultural heritage, bushfire and sodic soils) and distributed these statements to precinct stakeholders for review and comment. These statements will inform the PSP preparation.
In the coming months, we will be focused on finalising the Third Party Funding Agreement, progressing technical studies, holding project governance group meetings i and furthering PSP preparation.
