Project Status Updates

Project Status Update – February 2026

Since our last update in November 2025, we have progressed the planning for the Parwan Employment Precinct by undertaking technical studies to inform the draft place based plan and PSP documentation.  This includes: 

  • Continued to investigate  
    • opportunities and constraints, public transport, and  
    • land use. 
  • Met with: 
    • Eight developers/landowners to discuss their aspirations for the precinct and provide an overview of the PSP process. 
    • Greater Western Water to discuss recycled water options. 
    • Council and Department of Jobs Skills Industry and Regions to investigate land uses. 
    • Country Fire Authority regarding bushfire considerations. 
    • Department of Energy Environment and Climate Action to discuss environmental considerations. 
    • DTP – transport to discuss active transport linkages. 
  • Commenced updates to the Aboriginal Heritage report. 
  • Commenced preparation of the  
    • Integrated Transport Assessment, and  
    • Victorian Grassland Earless Dragon (VGED) targeted surveys. 
  • Progressed technical reports for: 
    • VGED habitat assessment 
    • Arboriculture 
    • Bushfire  
    • Post Colonial Heritage 
    • Biodiversity Assessment and targeted surveys 
    • Economic and retail​ 
    • Adverse Amenity Impact Assessment 
    • Land Capability Assessment 
    • Integrated Water Management 
    • High level Utility and Servicing Assessment 

 

In the coming months, we will be focused on finalising technical reports and preparing a place based plan in preparation for Council and State Agency validation.
