Project Status Update – April 2026

Since our last update in March 2026, we have prepared draft Amendment C109moor to the Moorabool Planning Scheme for the Merrimu Precinct Structure Plan and Development Contributions Plan.

Public consultation on the draft Amendment was conducted from 6 March through to 9 April 2026. In total, 81 submissions were received and we spoke with over 150 community members both in person and online.

We are currently working to review and resolve all submissions. As part of this process, the amendment documents will be updated as required. Those who made a submission should expect to hear from us over the coming weeks.

As it stands, the draft amendment proposes to rezone the precinct which will guide its future development. The proposal aims to deliver approximately 1,800 jobs and 8,000 homes for an estimated 24,000 residents, alongside education facilities, retail, open space and other essential infrastructure, to support the future community.
