Project Status Updates
Project Status Update – June 2026
We continue to collaborate with government areas to support the future development of the Northern Freight Precinct (NFP) and surrounding areas. This includes the delivery of the Beveridge Interstate Freight Terminal (BIFT) in the north of the precinct.
Since our last update in April 2026, we have:
- Continued to work with National Intermodal (NI) to coordinate planning and approvals for the BIFT and progress planning for NFP (North).
- Finalised the Cultural Values Assessment for the entirety of the NFP and Integrated Transport Assessment for NFP (south).
- Progressed drainage and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment technical studies to identify key opportunities and constraints.
In the coming months, we will continue to work with NI to progress planning for the BIFT and NFP (North) We will work to finalise the technical studies and engage with agencies and councils to develop and refine the place-based plan for NFP (South) in preparation for agency validation.
