The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – May 2023

We have been progressing the planning for Bannockburn South East by engaging with our project partners and progressing technical studies to inform preparation of our plans.

Since our last update in March 2023, we have:

  • Continued to engage with Golden Plains Shire Council, relevant state agencies and landowners.
  • Received phase one findings for drainage and transport technical assessments.
  • Started to finalise the social and affordable housing assessment.
  • Continued to prepare the draft place-based plan.

In the coming months we will be focused on completing the draft place-based plan to prepare for public consultation early next year.
