Project Status Update – August 2026

The Werribee Junction and Mambourin East Due Diligence Report is now available under Supporting Document below.

The due diligence assessment was a desktop assessment informed by technical studies and consultation with relevant government agencies, including Melbourne Water, Wyndham City Council and the Department of Transport and Planning. The assessment focused on identifying issues that would affect timely progression of the preparation of a Precinct Structure Plan or need consideration as part of any future planning process.

The report identifies a preferred development scenario to guide future planning for the precincts when planning commences in line with the timeframes in the 10-year plan for Melbourne’s greenfields.

Werribee Junction and Mambourin East are included in Horizon 3 of the Victorian Government’s 10-year plan for Melbourne’s greenfields. This means planning for the precincts is expected to commence between 2029-30 and 2033-34.
