The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – March 2024

We have been working with Maribyrnong City Council and Homes Victoria to progress the planning for the Braybrook Regeneration Project.

Since our last update in November 2023, we have:

  • Procured further technical work to support the amendment including:
    • Odour, noise and site contamination assessments
    • Integrated Water Management; and
    • Built form scenario testing to inform future planning controls
  • Continued to work through key matters relating to future potential built form outcomes, community infrastructure (open space) and development contributions funding to support the future needs of Braybrook

In the coming months we will be focused on resolving these matters, drafting planning controls and preparing for public consultation in mid-2024.
