Project Status Updates

Project Status Update – January 2025

The VPA Business Plan 2024-25 includes the Merrimu Precinct Structure Plan as one of the projects that the VPA will undertake to deliver key new Victorian Government initiatives to provide more homes for Victorians. Since release of our VPA Business Plan, the VPA have been working with Moorabool Shire Council and our Government partners to rescope the project for recommencement.  

Since our last update in November, we have: 

• Notified all landowners which may be affected by potential habitat of the Victorian Grassland Earless Dragon, as identified by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) Habitat Distribution Model. 
• Met with landowners to discuss project matters affecting their property.  
• Began planning our engagement activity for the early 2025.  

In the coming months, we will be focused on finalising outstanding technical reports and preparing draft documentation for Agency and Council Consultation.
