Project Status Update – February 2026

Since our last update in November 2025, we have reviewed and responded to 63 submissions received during the public consultation period. 

The next stage of the project is the Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) process. 

The SAC is an independent panel appointed to provide recommendations to the project team on how to address unresolved submissions. The matters the SAC will provide advice relate to drainage, transport, development contributions and education facilities. 

The SAC process is conducted in two parts: 

  • Directions Hearing – scheduled on 13 February 2026. This hearing will set the timetable and procedures for the main hearing. 
  • SAC Hearing – scheduled to commence in the week beginning 23 March 2026. This hearing will allow submitters to present their views to the Committee. 

If you made a submission during the public consultation period, you will have received correspondence from Planning Panels Victoria (PPV) explaining the process and your participation options.
