The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – March 2023

The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been progressing the planning for Croskell by advancing our technical reports and working with Government agencies to resolve key issues. Work has begun on drafting the precinct structure plan and associated infrastructure contributions plan.

Since our last update in December, we have:

  • Completed the Landscape Character Assessment, which can be viewed under the Background Reports tab
  • Progressed a number of other technical reports, including the Community Infrastructure Assessment, Land Capability Assessment and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Interpretation Strategy
  • Commenced drafting the precinct structure plan and infrastructure contributions plan
  • Progressed the cost benefits analysis looking at the benefits of new crossings over the Victorian Desalination Plant (VDP) underground cable easement
  • Amended the precinct boundary to include an additional 12ha in the northwestern corner of the precinct.

We have also published the following technical reports, which can be found in the Supporting Documentation tab below:

  • Landscape Character Assessment
  • Arboriculture Assessment

Boundary Change – 1450 Thompsons Road, Cranbourne East

We have added an additional 12ha of land to the Croskell precinct at the corner of Thompsons Road and Narre Warren Cranbourne Road, at the request of the landowner. This additional land will be subject to a re-zoning as part of the precinct structure planning process and will allow for a more holistic planning outcome for the entire area.
