The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – March 2023

Since our last update in October 2022, the VPA has been progressing the planning for East of Aberline by meeting with various landowners and government agencies to gather information on the precinct and briefing our partners on the upcoming planning process.

We are now updating  technical reports and will be procuring additional reports soon to help us understand the constraints of the precinct.

Pitching sessions

We have commenced  our first engagement sessions for East of Aberline, known as pitching sessions and these will continue into April. Pitching sessions are an opportunity for landowners and government agencies to share their goals and aspirations for the precinct with the VPA in a one-on-one forum.
