Project Status Update – April 2023
The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been progressing the planning for Wonthaggi North East by completing technical work to implement the recommendations of the VPA Projects Standing Advisory Committee (SAC).
In August 2022, the VPA SAC released its report into our plans for Wonthaggi North East, which recommended updates and additional information regarding drainage and costings.
Since our last update in December 2022, we have been working with technical experts to finalise the Wonthaggi North East Revised Drainage Strategy and Wonthaggi North East Functional Designs and Costings Report in response to the SAC’s recommendations. We expect these reports to be completed by May 2023.
In the coming months we will be focused on finalising the planning scheme amendment and associated documents to submit to the Minister for Planning for consideration.
