Greater Bendigo Industrial Land Development Strategy
On June 17 2020, the Greater Bendigo Industrial Land Development Strategy (GBILDS) and Background Report were adopted by Council.
The GBILDS was developed in a partnership between the Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) and Greater Bendigo City Council. It involved comprehensive community and industry engagement about available and appropriate industrial land, as well as a detailed assessment of the existing supply of land and a Strategic Economic Inputs report about forecast demand. The GBILDS provides direction for the 22 existing industrial land in Greater Bendigo as well as identifying the characteristics of future land in Greater Bendigo.
The strategy identifies a need for a minimum of a further 170ha of industrial land over and above existing land supply over the next 30 years to meet industry needs in order to enable existing businesses in Greater Bendigo to grow and to attract new businesses to Greater Bendigo.
