Portland Strategic Framework Plan
The VPA in partnership with Glenelg Shire Council is preparing a high level strategic framework to inform and guide future growth and development of Portland.
The draft Portland Strategic Framework Plan (Framework Plan) will identify strategic advantages, address key challenges and set a vision to guide the sustainable growth and development of Portland to 2040.
The Framework Plan will inform the preparation of a Planning Scheme Amendment and detailed local plans and actions to enhance the urban character and identity of Portland through the provision of detailed local plans.
The Framework Plan will create a long-term vision for Portland. It will make recommendations on opportunities for urban growth in Portland and identify the infrastructure upgrades required to support additional urban and economic growth.
