Amendment C152 to the Bass Coast Planning Scheme
The Wonthaggi North East Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) and Wonthaggi North East Development Contributions Plan (DCP) were approved by the Minister for Planning and gazetted on 18 January 2024 under Amendment C152 to the Bass Coast Planning Scheme.

Update on the Wonthaggi North East Environmental Audit Overlay – 21 June 2024
On 21 June 2024, Amendment C167basc was gazetted, which removed the Environmental Audit Overlay (EAO) from 115 lots where a preliminary risk screen assessment (PRSA) has determined that the land is unlikely to be contaminated and does not require an environmental audit. The Amendment was requested by Bass Coast Shire Council following three private developers commissioning their own PRSAs. The PRSA process is ongoing in the remainder Wonthaggi North East Precinct.
