The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – May 2024

We have been working with the Golden Plains Shire Council and key stakeholders to progress planning for the Bannockburn South East Precinct. This includes resolving key outstanding matters raised through the agency validation process and our stakeholder engagement.

Since our last update in March 2024, we have:

  • Finalised our responses to submissions received as part of agency validation and continued to work with major stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Continued to meet with Council and other relevant stakeholders, including First Peoples State Relations and the Department of Transport and Planning, to discuss the ongoing drafting of the PSP.
  • In the coming months we will be focused on resolving matters raised through the agency validation process, including cultural heritage, drainage and transport matters. We are also working to finalise the draft PSP in preparation for public consultation in late 2024.
