The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – May 2024

We have been progressing the planning for the Greenvale North precinct structure plan by undertaking agency validation with key stakeholders, such as Hume City Council, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and landowners, while consulting with other government departments and agencies.

Since our last update in March 2024, we have:

  • Reviewed the submissions on our draft plans from government agencies.
  • Made changes to the precinct structure plan and background report.
  • Held meetings with project partners to collaborate on the development of our plans.

In the coming months we will be preparing to release our draft plans for public consultation, which we aim to do in mid-2024.
