The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – July 2024

We have been working with Golden Plains Shire Council and key stakeholders to progress planning for the Bannockburn South East Precinct. This includes resolving key outstanding matters raised through the agency validation process and stakeholder engagement.

Since our last update in May 2024, we have:

  • Met with stakeholders to discuss key issues such as transport, protection of cultural values and management of potential adverse amenity at the southern boundary of the Precinct Structure Plan (PSP).
  • Progressed technical work for community infrastructure, land capability/sodic soils and utilities.

We have also uploaded the Social and Affordable Housing Report (Urbanxchange – August 2023) and re-published the final Biodiversity Assessment (EHP – September 2022) to correct minor inconsistencies on habitat mapping along Levy Road. The reports can be found in the supporting documentation tab below.

In the coming months, we will be focused on preparing for public consultation by working with key stakeholders to resolve outstanding matters, finalising remaining technical work and amending the PSP package.
