Project Status Updates – May 2025

We have progressed the planning for the Melton East PSP by facilitating public consultation on the Melton East Precinct Structure Plan, Infrastructure Contributions Plan and accompanying draft amendments from 3 March to 31 March 2025. From this consultation a number of submissions were received from community members, landowners, developers and relevant agencies. These submissions are now being carefully reviewed and considered as part of the ongoing planning process. 

Since our last update in March, we have: 

  • Held in-person and online sessions to assist community members in understanding the Melton East draft plan. 
  • Hosted five weekly sessions focusing on drainage and stormwater issues in collaboration with Melbourne Water and landowners. 
  • Received a total of 41 submissions. 
  • Commenced reviewing and resolving the issues raised in the submissions. 

In addition, we have published the 41 redacted submissions in the Supporting Documentation section of the website. 

In the coming months, we will focus on resolving submission issues in preparation for a Directions Hearing on 28 May and the VPA Standing Advisory Committee Panel scheduled for early July.
