Project Status Update – July 2025

We have progressed planning for the Melton East PSP by reviewing the 41 submissions received from community members, landowners, developers and relevant agencies following the public consultation period. We have been working towards resolving submission items, prior to the Standing Advisory Committee (SAC), by holding one-on-one submitter meetings, a drafting session and workshops to discuss issues. 

Since our last update in May, we have: 

  • Reviewed and provided formal responses to all 41 submissions received during the public consultation period.
  • Facilitated workshops and one-on-one submitter meetings to resolve issues.
  • Updated technical reports to resolve submissions – a full list of updated technical reports will be provided prior to the commencement of the SAC commencing 7 July 2025. 
  • Attended the Directions Hearing on 28 May 2025.
  • Referred draft Melton Planning Scheme Amendment C244 specific submissions and other supporting documents to the SAC on 25th June 2025. 

Throughout July and early August, the project team we will be focused on the VPA Standing Advisory Committee Panel scheduled for 5 weeks from 7 July to 6 August 2025. This is a public hearing and can be accessed via Planning Panel Victoria’s website.
