Project Status Update – September 2025

Changes to the delivery of the Greater Avalon Employment Precinct

We have decided to deliver the Greater Avalon Employment Precinct (GAEP) using an alternate delivery pathway to a Precinct Structure Plan and Development Contribution Plan. 

While the draft amendment prepared for consultation continues to plan for the Greater Avalon Employment Precinct as a whole, the precinct has been divided into two parts to allow for a bespoke planning response for each area: 

  • Greater Avalon Employment Precinct North (GAEP North) 
  • Greater Avalon Employment Precinct West (GAEP West)

Update on our planning for the Greater Avalon Employment Precinct

Since our last update in May, we have: 

  • Finalised Council and State Agency Consultation.  
  • Progressed Flooding & Drainage, Biodiversity, Transport and Utilities Assessments.   
  • Commenced a Bushfire Assessment. 

In the coming months, we will focus on preparing final draft documents in preparation for public consultation later this year.
