The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – March 2024

We have been progressing the planning for the Greenvale North precinct structure plan by undertaking agency validation with key stakeholders, such as Hume City Council, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, and landowners, while consulting with other government departments and agencies.

Since our last update in November 2023, we have:

  • Sought the views of agencies on a draft precinct structure plan and background report and reviewed the submissions received.
  • Made changes to the precinct structure plan and background report.
  • Held several project partner meetings to ensure ongoing collaboration in the development of the Greenvale North precinct structure plan and associated documentation.

In the coming months we will be focused on seeking authorisation from the Minister for Planning to undertake public consultation and preparing the planning scheme amendment documentation.
