The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – July 2024

We have been working with Hume City Council to progress the planning for Greenvale North by undertaking a period of community consultation on the draft Precinct Structure Plan (PSP), Background Report, and associated planning scheme amendment documentation.

Since our last update in May, we have:

  • Made the background report, documents and plans available for public inspection on the Engage Vic website.
  • Sent notification letters to 1888 residents informing them of the consultation.
  • Hosted an online information session to share information about the draft Greenvale North PSP.
  • Organised a community information evening, including Hume City Council and Melbourne Water staff.
  • Attended a Greenvale Residents Association meeting.

In the coming weeks, we will be reviewing the submissions that we have received during the consultation period and will be looking to resolve any issues that have been raised. We will also prepare a report detailing the community engagement that has been undertaken. If issues cannot be resolved, we will prepare for the Standing Advisory Committee, who will hear the details and advise the Minister and the VPA on unresolved matters.
