Derrimut Fields
The Derrimut Fields Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) is located in the City of Melton. It includes land bounded by Christies Road to the east, Boundary Road to the south, Hopkins Road to the west and Middle Road to the north. With Skeleton Creek running north to south through the precinct.
To address the need for employment land in Melbourne’s west, the State Government is unlocking land in the Derrimut Fields PSP area. Making more land available for industrial development will give a much-needed boost to industrial real estate in the area.
The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) as part of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has begun the pre-commencement phase for the Derrimut Fields PSP and is now seeking for Expression of Interest (EOI) from landowners to provide Third Party Funding (TPF) for this project.
Project Status Update – November 2025
We have begun the pre-commencement phase for the Derrimut Fields PSP by preparing the project scope and holding and introductory session with landowners to introduce the precinct and discuss Third Party Funding (TPF) arrangements for the project.
In the coming months, we will be focused on finalising the project scope, securing TPF, holding pitching sessions with landowners and key agencies while reviewing and procuring background studies for the precinct in preparation for project commencement.
