Derrimut Fields
The Derrimut Fields Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) is located in the City of Melton. It includes land bounded by Christies Road to the east, Boundary Road to the south, Hopkins Road to the west and Middle Road to the north. With Skeleton Creek running north to south through the precinct.
To address the need for employment land in Melbourne’s west, the State Government is unlocking land in the Derrimut Fields PSP area. Making more land available for industrial development will give a much-needed boost to industrial real estate in the area.
The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) as part of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has begun the pre-commencement phase for the Derrimut Fields PSP and is now seeking for Expression of Interest (EOI) from landowners to provide Third Party Funding (TPF) for this project.
Project Status Update – February 2026
We have progressed the planning for the Derrimut Fields PSP by finalising Third Party Funding agreements and commencing the project.
Since our last update in November, we have:
- Finalised Third Party Funding for the project.
- Held in-person and online pitching sessions with all landowners and key agencies.
- Commenced procurement for technical studies for the precinct.
In the coming months, we will be focused on preparing the pitching report and undertaking the technical studies.
