Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – February 2025

We have progressed the planning for East of Aberline by meeting with landowners and agency stakeholders to resolve outstanding matters, progress key technical work, and continued work to refine the draft Precinct Structure Plan (PSP).

Since our last update in November 2024, we have:

  • Worked with stakeholders on issues identified through Agency Validation to support further testing and design of the PSP.
  • Commenced a flood and drainage strategy, and transport study, that will inform the final PSP and Development Contributions Plan (DCP).
  • Continued to work with technical expert consultants to complete outstanding technical work.

Co-Design Report

In July, we held a co-design workshop with precinct landowners, agencies and other stakeholders to consider the early technical findings and precinct constraints in order to develop a draft place-based plan. We have now released the East of Aberline PSP – Co-Design Summary Report November 2024 which outlines the workshop format, recommendations and a summary of findings. The report is available under the Supporting Documentation below.

We have also published the Retail & Economic Assessment (prepared by Urban Enterprise) and Arboricultural Assessment (prepared by TreeTec).

In the coming months, we will focus on finalising the draft PSP, DCP and Planning Scheme Amendment in preparation for public consultation in mid-2025.
