The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – May 2024

We are working with the City of Casey to progress feedback from key stakeholders, such as other government departments, to inform the Casey Fields South and Devon Meadows precinct structure plan (PSP) and infrastructure contributions plan (ICP).

Since our last update in March 2023, we have:

  • Continued to work with Melbourne Water on the requirements for the drainage services scheme (DSS) to understand the implications for the precincts.
  • Worked with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action to understand the biodiversity considerations for the precincts.
  • Continued work on the strategic transport plan and integrated transport assessment.
  • Reviewed agency validation feedback with the City of Casey.

In the coming months, we will focus on updating our plans for Casey Fields South and Devon Meadows based on agency feedback, with the aim to release our plans for public consultation in late 2024.
