The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – July 2024

We are working with the City of Casey to progress feedback from key stakeholders, including government departments, to inform the Casey Fields South (Employment) and Devon Meadows Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) and Infrastructure Contributions Plan (ICP).

Since our last update in May, we have:

  • Continued to work with Melbourne Water on the requirements for the Development Services Scheme (DSS) to understand the implications for the precincts including discussions with Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) about potential drainage impacts on arterial roads.
  • Confirmed the approach for biodiversity areas within the precincts.
  • Continued to review agency validation feedback with the City of Casey.
  • Continued work on the integrated transport model with consultants.
  • Continued to engage with Department of Education to resolve school locations.

In the coming months, we will focus on updating our plans for Casey Fields South (Employment) and Devon Meadows based on agency feedback, with the aim to release our plans for public consultation in late 2024.
