As the Victorian state election will be held on Saturday 28 November 2026, the Victorian Government has assumed a caretaker role from 6.00pm on Tuesday 3 November 2026.

During the caretaker period, content will only be added to this website in accordance with the caretaker conventions.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – May 2025

Since our last update in March 2025, we have progressed the planning of the East of Aberline PSP by:  

  • Meeting with key partners and stakeholders including landowners, Warrnambool City Council, Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Department of Transport and Planning and the Department of Education, to resolve outstanding issues within the PSP. 
  • Undertaking technical work for transport, drainage and community infrastructure to inform the PSP and Development Contributions Plan (DCP).  
  • Revising amenity and contamination assessments to confirm the extent of developable area within the PSP. 

In the coming months, we will focus on finalising the draft PSP, DCP and planning scheme amendment in preparation for public consultation in August 2025.
