Our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Belonging Plan 2022-2026 (IDEB Plan) (PDF) supports our ambitions and journey. To improve our culture and practices at the VPA, we have six priority areas of focus which are delivering on:

We also have a Gender Equality Action Plan 2022-2025 (PDF) and will soon be commencing the development of a roadmap for change to ensure better outcomes for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Work Locations

Our work style is hybrid, which helps us get the best from our people. We know that it’s not the place you go to, it’s a place where you can achieve and thrive.

Our main office environment is located at the Paris end of Collins Street, Melbourne.

We currently require our people to work from our main office a minimum of two days per week (pro rata) and the rest of the time you can work from home or a location that best suits you, including one of the Victorian Government Suburban Hubs.

You can also work from one of the Victorian Government Suburban Hubs.

Office environment

We will shortly be commencing a refresh of our Collins Street office to support the different ways we work. We will have different spaces for collaboration and focus that empower, inspire and support different working styles. We will be changing our floor layout and furniture to enable greater access and provide more comfort with the different types of work being done.

We are also transforming the way we use technology to enable us to be more agile, efficient and autonomous.

Safety is crucial to us. Our COVID Safe plan details how we are keeping our office COVID safe.

Facilities

Like a touch (or a lot) of luxury? We have state of the art building facilities, spaces of modernism, indulgence and innovation at our Collins Street location.

Dress Attire

Our days of working from home wearing slippers are still available to us.

You won’t always be suit and tie or working 9-5.

On the days you’re in the office, dress professionally, however you can dress according to what’s appropriate for your day. We trust you!

Superannuation

We offer 10.5% superannuation for all casual, ongoing and fixed term employees. Vic Super is our main Super Fund, which is optional to select as your super fund provider.

You may be eligible to salary sacrifice various benefits.

Health and Wellbeing

Our health and wellbeing strategy supports you to do your best in personal and work life. We know that when you are not feeling your best, you can’t work at your best.

We have a program which offers a variety of resources, tools and services to assist you in managing your health and wellbeing. This includes our Employee Assistance Program, interesting and enjoyable classes and workshops, influenza vaccinations, gym discounts, plus many other engaging and fun initiatives rolled out all year long.

We offer many leave types to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance and support you through life’s ups and downs.
