Project Status Updates

Project Status Update – February 2026

Since our last update in November 2025, we have reviewed and responded to the 45 submissions received during the public consultation period which ran from 19 September 2025 to 20 October 2025. 

The next stage of the project is the Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) process. 

The SAC is an independent panel appointed to provide recommendations to the project team on how to address key issues. The matters the SAC will provide advice relate to the Development Contribution Plan, roof water harvesting, drainage infrastructure and biodiversity provisions.

The SAC process is conducted in two parts: 

  • Directions Hearing – scheduled on 19 February 2026. This hearing will set the timetable and procedures for the main hearing. 
  • SAC Hearing – scheduled to commence in the week beginning 24 March 2026. This hearing will allow submitters to present their views to the Committee. 

If you made a submission during the public consultation period, you would have received correspondence from Planning Panels Victoria (PPV) explaining the process and your participation options.
