Project Status Update – April 2026

Since our last update in February 2026, we have concluded the East for Aberline Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) process. The process ran from 24 March to 9 April 2026.

The VPA SAC is an independent panel appointed to provide recommendations to the project team on how to address key issues. The SAC will provide advice relating to the Development Contribution Plan (DCP), roof water harvesting, drainage infrastructure and biodiversity provisions.

The SAC are due to provide their independent report in mid May 2026.

Since our last update in February 2026, we have:

  • Completed technical meetings on Development Contributions Plan, drainage and roof water harvesting, transport, land valuations and biodiversity.
  • Attended the VPA SAC Panel Hearing from 24 March to 9 April 2026, where 10 parties attended and provided submissions/evidence.

In the coming months, we will focus on finalising the PSP and DCP for consideration by the Minister for Planning.
