Project Status Updates – October 2022
The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been working with Mitchell Shire Council to progress the planning for Wallan South by finalising technical studies and formalising our responses to feedback we received during our government agency validation process.
We have also been preparing the draft Wallan South Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) and Supplementary Levy Infrastructure Contribution Plan (ICP) for public consultation.
Since our last update in March 2022, we have:
- Met with government agencies to coordinate a whole of government approach for the Wallan South PSP and Supplementary Levy ICP
- Finalised technical reports to inform the PSP
- Actioned detailed designs and costings of transport infrastructure to inform the Wallan South Supplementary Levy ICP
- Finalised our PSP Plan Set and document for public consultation.
We have also published the Wallan South PSP and Wallan East (Part 1) PSP: Economic And Retail Assessment (Hill PDA) October 2020 – Updated July 2022 (PDF).
In the coming months we will:
- Update a number of consultant technical reports, which will all be available via the VPA website once finalised
- Continue to prepare the draft PSP and ICP for VPA Board endorsement and public consultation, incorporating feedback from government agencies.
Our next major milestone will be the commencement of public consultation in early 2023.
