The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – March 2023

The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been progressing planning for Wallan East by working with Mitchell Shire Council (Council) to resolve issues that were identified during council and state agency consultation.

In this phase, relevant State Government agencies review the PSP and provide comments.

Since our last update in October, we have been working with Council, landowners and technical experts to respond to and resolve issues raised during this process.

In the coming months we will be focused on finalising our responses to council and state agency consultation and resolving infrastructure to be funded by the Wallan East Infrastructure Contributions Plan (ICP). This work will inform the draft PSP and ICP, which will be released for public consultation.
