The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates – November 2022

The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) has been working with Mitchell Shire Council to progress the planning for Wallan South by finalising technical studies and responding to feedback we’ve received from government agencies.

We have also been preparing the draft Wallan South Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) and Supplementary Levy Infrastructure Contribution Plan (ICP) for public consultation.

Since our last update in October 2022, we have:

  • Provided government agencies with formal responses to their agency validation submissions
  • Met with the Department of Transport and Country Fire Authority to finalise outstanding reports (Transport and Bushfire Assessments)
  • Progressed the drafting of the ICP documents.

In the coming months we will finalise the bushfire and transport assessment reports, which will all be available at vpa.vic.gov.au/wallan-south, and prepare for public consultation to take place in early 2023.
