The Victorian Planning Authority proudly acknowledges Victoria’s Aboriginal community and their rich culture and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water on which we rely.

We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this enriches us.

We embrace the spirit of reconciliation, working towards the equality of outcomes and ensuring an equal voice.

Project Status Updates

Project Status Updates – April 2023

We have been progressing the planning for Croskell with a focus on finalising the background studies and working with stakeholders to clarify and resolve key precinct issues.

Since our last update in March, we have:

  • Finalised the Land Capability Assessment and Community Infrastructure and Open Space Needs Assessment, both of which can be viewed under the Background Studies tab
  • Hosted a workshop with state agencies, landowners, developers and council to discuss opportunities and restrictions on development within the high voltage transmission easement that bisects the precinct from east to west
  • Commenced drafting the precinct structure plan and infrastructure contributions plan documents, with a focus on the proposed local park network and road network.

In the coming months we will be focused on completing the draft precinct structure plan and infrastructure contributions plan in preparation for Agency Validation in mid-2023. During the Agency Validation phase, the draft plans are sent out for comment to State Government departments and council to achieve a whole-of-government position on the plan prior to public exhibition.
